Nolo AW'22 Fashion Show

"Black Cherries" - a Fall/Winter collection by NOLO, laced with melancholy, drama and impeccable quality.

The pandemic and the war that followed with its economic consequences have, without doubt, left a mark on our everyday lives. They have also impacted our consumer habits, especially regarding clothing. During the recent fashion weeks in the world's capitals, it was quite striking how differently the guests were dressed. The choice of the majority appeared to be less elaborate and frilly, and more basic and versatile clothing. This phenomenon gained the name “essentialism” and became the key fashion trend of the coming era.

The clothing we wear daily needs to meet different levels of formality - it has to be suitable for both work and evening events. It also has to perform well in different temperature conditions indoors and outdoors, which tend to be increasingly contrasting as we are facing the realities of climate change. It's getting harder and harder to seduce us, the consumers, with "eyecatchers" - we need something that has functionality, quality and really works for everyday life.

Considering these factors, as well as analysing the daily life of our clients and how they adapt to changing scenarios throughout the day, for the FW22/23 season NOLO offers a high-quality, basic wardrobe that can be easily transformed to fit all occasions. At the basis of the collection is a thoughtful choice of fabrics and long-lasting design. The idea of essentialism also influenced the number of decorative details and decorations - we kept them to a minimum. However, this in no way detracts from the sense of drama that practically permeates the collection, and makes it both desirable and relevant.
